Dr. Kavanagh is a graduate of Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, the dental education unit of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center.

Dr. Kavanagh completed his residency at the Department of Veteran's Affairs North Texas Healthcare System where he gained a wide range of experience treating special needs patients with various disabilities. Prior to opening his own dental office in College Station, he spent three years working in public health within communities in and around the Houston area.

While in Houston, Dr. Kavanagh also worked for NASA, providing dental treatment to astronauts, clearing them for missions in space, and training them for dental emergencies while on the space station.

In his free time, Dr. Kavanagh enjoys raising dairy cattle, beekeeping, anything involving airplanes, bible study & history, military history, and spending time with his wife Lela on their farm.
